Fabian Garzon is very proud and excited to announce his participation in of http://www.instagratification.ca in conjunction with http://scotiabankcontactphoto.com. Believe it or not, Fabian took this haunting photo with his iPhone 4s, flash free, at the Gold Museum http://www.banrepcultural.org/gold-museum during his last trip home to Bogota, Colombia.
El Dorado is Spanish for “the golden one” and is used to describe a tribal chief of the Muisca Native people of Colombia, South America, who as an initiation rite covered himself with gold dust and dove into Lake Guatavita. This lake is near present day Bogota, which is Fabian’s birth home. Later, it became the name of a legendary “Lost City of Gold,” also known as Manõa, that fascinated explorers since the days of the Spanish conquistadors and was supposedly located on Lake Parime in the highlands of Guyana, South America.
